Rhithron’s phycologists analyze diatoms and non-diatom algae, from both periphyton and phytoplankton samples. We are equipped with research-grade compound microscopes, dissecting scopes, and inverted microscopes.  Our diatom laboratory offers the highest quality diatom preparations, using an acid microwave digestion process.
